Swim teachers often hear about a reluctant swimmer starting to cry or feel anxious when it's time for their children to get ready for swimming lessons and put their togs on.

If a child is a reluctant swimmer or associates some anxiety with swimming lessons or if you're just beginning swimming lessons you can try to alter their opinion about their togs by creating some fun and games with putting on their cozzies.

Start some fun water play for your child in their swimmers. In the yard under sprinklers, playing with water gun, a water balloon fight, even playing in the bath with their togs on are all good ways to start to make swimmers fun.

By beginning to give them some fun associations with wearing their togs so they're more likely to look forward to fun when they're donning their togs for swimming lessons.
