If your children are in the pool and can touch it doesn't necessarily make them water safe, we need to ensure a child knows how to recover to an upright position.
These are some steps to recovering to an upright position. Reach forward with the hands and push down, Bring knees up, lift head and rotate feet towards the bottom of the pool. When your children get tall enough to touch the bottom of your pool this is an important lesson to help them learn.
