It is with a very heavy heart that I do have to say that we are closing the Mitchelton location. If you're a Mitchelton stroke development swimmer or a junior who still needs to complete breaststroke and butterfly you're welcome to join the mad-all kinds of awesome classes at Bunya (the Bunya pool is only 50cm shorter than the width of the Mitchelton Pool). For Juniors, Seniors and Adults we have a plan for you too!
For those of you who haven't heard my daughter Lara (6) was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia in April this year. She is rocking oncology like a star and her prognosis is optimistic. Leukaemia treatment is a long haul and treatment protocol is 2.5 years. It is because of my commitment to Lara's treatment that I have come to the sad decision to close the Mitchelton pool location. If you swim with us at Mitchelton below are your options to stay in the water.
Join us at the Bunya (5 Allen Road, Bunya) location Monday to Friday 7.15am or 3.30pm-6pm. Saturday 7am-9am
Junior Squad still completing breaststroke and butterfly development can also join us at Bunya.
Bunya's stroke development teacher ratio is 1 teacher to 3 students.
Junior Squad: Some Juniors are finished and can transition to another squad (I have a couple I can recommend).
Seniors and Adults: Join another location squad or join me my old squad at All About Aquatics, Everton Park.
On a personal note I have loved teaching your children at the Big Pool. To be able to celebrate a child's progress and to be able to support them to do greater things in the water has been something I have very much enjoyed. Thank you for your support.
Referrals for Juniors and Seniors
All About Aquatics at Everton Park is the squad where I have previously trained and as adult and they have extended an invitation to transition our swimmers to them (Junior, Senior and Adult). Your first lesson is free and I will attempt to be there for the first week of their season to transition swimmers to a new coach.

Ryan is an excellent coach with a solid foundation in competitive stroke. I haven't personally worked with Ryan but have had some phone conversations and he appears to have a similar approach to development as Little Big Swim; get the shapes of the stroke right first and then endurance and speed will come thereafter.
